Have you noticed in all the mags that they just take half the bed not the full bed The focus seems to be on bedside table and the way the bed linen is folded. I hope other keen photographers can join this thread as I still am learning and still have no idea what I am doing My Builder was a small custom home builder in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Yes we did design it through a young architect from the west as well. A few members from the forum are using him. Mrs B Re: Any tips for photographing house interiors like the pros?? 6Aug 02, 2009 10:24 pm excellent thread Mrs B, I am doing a professional photographers course at the moment, and I've bought a great wide lensed canon camera recently, so when your ready, I'll come over and take some amazing shots of your place! Oh, and you too S&P, your down in PC aren't you? not too far!!! (I had no idea Ed was such a wiz with the cameras! I must keep him and Photogirl in my good books!!) lol A thankful person is a happy person. Photos are often taken really low down (about 1-2 feet above the floor), slightly angled upwards, to make the room appear larger/ceilings look higher. Always ensure if you can, that if it's a sunny day, that you try and keep the sun behind you, or you'll wash out your photos. Remember that many surfaces reflect your image. Be careful to make sure you aren't caught in something like a mirror, picture frame or vase (makes the photos look amateur if you are!). Even if it's a relatively bright day, it can look quite effective if you leave your lights on. Using a tripod will be very handy if you have one! Hope this helps! jcjuice Re: Any tips for photographing house interiors like the pros?? 8Aug 03, 2009 1:35 pm some simple tips 1. don't use a cheap camera, borrow or hire a good quality, high mega pixel SLR with a wide angled lens. 2. presentation, presentation, presentation 3. buy a couple of home interior/architecture magazines and study the pictures, try to find similar rooms to your own and practice duplicating there shots. 4. always use a tripod and think carefully about lighting and exposure settings 5.in respect to lighting coincide photos with the most opportune time within the day. 6. remove personal items from photos that are going to be posted online as once an image goes online you have lost control of what someone else does with the image. i hope some of this is practical and helpfull.
