I wonder if I'm still allowed to go if my stage isn't released yet. I know there is a bus that goes from BR to Langwarrin SC(Elizabeth Murdoch...??) and I hear it is quite a good school but any other information would be much appreciated as this is a major deciding factor for us as one of my daughters is 10 so not long till she moves up to high school. Closest high schools are St Peter's, Cranbourne SC, EMC in Langwarrin, and there are a few new ones opening up in the Cranbourne East area in the Hunt Club. St Peter's would be the best of those (EMC doesn't have the best name....we live in Langwarrin and my kids wont be going there Hope that helps! Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! I will declare my bias first. I work there and my eldest son goes to the school also! Bayside Christian College is 10 mins drive from BR in Langwarrin South and is a fantastic P-12 school. It is small and nurturing with great programs. There are a couple of other families from BR that attend Bayside as well. Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 127Mar 03, 2010 5:02 am Agreed Bayside CC is very good - I had forgotten about them!!! Also there is Woodleigh, which is a very private (read:expensive) school. ~W~ Building our forever home - Lilium Estate Clyde - Land due May 2019 Built our first home - Pakenham - 2011 Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 128Mar 03, 2010 7:30 am Thank you again for all your assistance, it is much appreciated and certainly makes my partner a little less terrified about the move down under. Now i need to find the right block....bring on stage 14!! Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 129Mar 05, 2010 8:20 pm monaroq Hi all, Ive been keeping an eye on Botanic ridge and this thread for a while but I am still living in the UK at present so I am loathe to take on a mortgage before I get back(late this year). I was wondering how the finance works on new releases, what is the initial holding deposit and when is the deposit and then the full balance required? Im thinking that if i bought a block in stage 16 or even the next one(14?) I may not have to take on the mortgage until later in the year? Any info would be gladly recieved. Also can someone please give me a review of stage 16, considering it has sold very quickly and is near the golf course it really appeals to me but I did note there are some retaining walls which always makes me worry about site fall...? Thanks Craig You probably already know this but I'd give myself a couple of months to get the mortgage squared away. Everything takes time and the big four banks are never in a hurry. Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 131Mar 06, 2010 4:11 pm ASDL 2 as we spoke to Tony about this at Christmas. We were inquiring what was going on with the smart wiring. He said tell our builder not to go ahead with our smart wiring as Botanic Ridge will not get it due to amount $$$ they were asking from the developers to have it installed and they said were getting ADSL 2 currently getting installed in. http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 132Mar 18, 2010 1:52 pm NEW Stage Release - Coming Soon! I am very close to the purchase of 1 of said blocks of land I recieved some pics of this stage and it looks really nice. The biggest shock for me having not been in Oz since Nov is that the grass was "GREEN!!!". Almost fell off my chair Anyone else think buying land sight unseen is a little crazy? Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 135Mar 19, 2010 8:04 am Quote: Anyone else think buying land sight unseen is a little crazy No in all honesty though, I never saw our block until 2 weeks after the fact. Hubby and Father in law picked it out. While we were living in S.E Qld the inlaws were running around looking at land and display homes. There favorite bit of dirt was BR and they also gave a lot feedback on what displays we might want to check out, as well collecting brochures for us to go through. Do you have any family that might be able to give you some insight prior to the purchase ? http://burbankascent2500.blogspot.com/ https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28503 [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/] HOUSE COMPLETED IN 119 DAYS PCI Complete Handover 24th August Re: Anyone else building at Botanic Ridge? 136Mar 19, 2010 8:53 am I have had my parents look at the release and that is where I got the pics, they have advised on which lots are likely better and I will be making my decision based on that. Still feels odd to buy a block without actually visiting it but Im really keen on release 14 so the risk is worth it.
