Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Timber wainscoting is it available in kit form? 4Jul 13, 2010 7:59 pm gettoitoneday Hi All My wife and I have a colonial style farm house, that we have started to renovate. It lends it's self, to more the American style of ornate wall trims. It already has french doors and windows with the small square panes of glass (don't know the correct term) and ornate ceiling cornices. We have been looking on realtor.com in the US at houses for sale and have come up with lots of new ideas we hadn't seen or even thought of (they are soooo cheap). One is the full wainscoting, not just a chair rail. These are available over there in kit form in timber. I searched the forum and Rikster is the only person to come up, he has used plaster wainscoting in some rooms of his new home. I was thinking of doing it from scratch myself in timber before I saw the plaster ones, as I cannot find anyone that sells the kits here. I think timber would be better in the rooms we want to do because its harder than plaster, but I think it would be ok also. Thanks Scott I will again try to load some pics I tried but am not used to forums and pics. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=1272 Follow this link, it will help with your pics..... But I'm not sure… 3 6111 |
