Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 3Jul 28, 2009 6:47 pm It is Blakeview, near Craigmore. Its the new Delfin Estate going up. Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 4Oct 22, 2010 12:34 pm Anyone? Surely someone must be building here by now would love to get in touch neighbourinos Blakes Crossing - South Australia - Delfin 5Feb 07, 2011 12:24 pm Still yet to find any neighbourinos ... that is really sad Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 6Feb 07, 2011 4:12 pm I lived up the hill in the original part of blakeview/craigmore a few years ago. Mostly enjoyed my time there. You might find a few people from Smithfield venturing over to say hi ( this is not a good thing ) but once the place become more established it will be fine. Delfin IMO do pretty good estates. Plenty of walking trails to get around, recycled water, fibre for internet and so on. You might get a bit of a shock with your footings though. Hard clay up the hill, not to sure about where Delfin are though. Who you building with? Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 7Feb 08, 2011 12:34 pm Hi We are pretty much finished building now and the footings weren't too bad. I grew up in Munno Para so know the area pretty well and never had any dramas. I would think the Munno Para West/Playford Alivce people will get more of the so called "smithfield" people being across the road from the Davo and Andrews Farm. I just wanted to make contact with anyone in the estate so to chat about our experiences etc... obviously no one on this forum has made the plunge and gone in with Delfin and Blakes. Oh well, doesnt matter sure they'll pop up as the area gets bigger. Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 8Feb 16, 2011 10:04 pm I looked at Blakes Crossing, but unfortnatley like most Delfin developments, it's way out of my price range! Darn this being young and single stuff! I love what they've done with Mawson Lakes, though. Just a pity that most Delfin devs don't get proper Internet service Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 10Feb 17, 2011 8:10 pm I should hope so! I worked in the complaints area at Telstra for a few months - had probably 1-3 per week about people in ML not being able to get Internet. No matter how many times I talked to customers, I felt both sorry for them and frustrated because I was sick of them blaming Telstra (and sometimes me!!) for something that wasn't their fault! I do really like the look of Blakes Crossing though. Maybe if I could scrape together a bit more cash I'd consider it... convinient to shops/train station and cheaper than ML by far! Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 11Feb 27, 2011 11:53 am Hello all, We are in the process of settlement up at Burnlea Village end of March then the fun begins. Hello to future neighbour tashmarch might have a few questions for you down the track. We are Mawson residents from day 1 so its fun to be part of a new estate. Bye for now Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 12Mar 01, 2011 12:27 pm Hi Burnlea!! Finally a fellow Blakes Crossing neighbour!! that is awesome and about time. I was certain that there would be others around since the estate is growing. We've just about finished our house now and will probably be moving in next week sometime. We built in Hayfield Park and love the area. Ask any questions you like, Delfin can be quite tricky with the Encumbrance approval process so if you need any advise or anything feel free to ask!! Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 13Mar 02, 2011 7:30 pm next week sounds great good luck, we know how delfin can be so will be ready for the to and froing just like it was here at Mawson lakes. our block is coming along with piping and roads, settlement is March 31 its the area right up the back near Bently rd i think we are the only ones who have bought so far up there . go for a walk and check it out its lot 4 near the creek. doing 2 storey with Sterling , starting in May i hope? talk soon Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 14Mar 06, 2011 10:24 pm Hi,bought a block last july in Woodhaven estate,Finally the builders have started.Very excited, but nervous as well.
Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 15Mar 08, 2011 11:37 am Hey all, few breakins/thefts going on at moment. Be diligent in locking up!! Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 16Mar 08, 2011 7:51 pm tashmarch2009 Hey all, few breakins/thefts going on at moment. Be diligent in locking up!! always the way, we had that in mawson lakes then as more people came it stopped then they put the new road in from salisbury hwy and main nth road that created easy get aways so it increased. just have to be diligent and smart Hi Michelle welcome to the "crossing". it will be fun Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 17Mar 15, 2011 12:31 pm Hi Michelle You will love it. After our little "incident" with the thefts, things are starting to get better. We go for walks around estate and everyone says hello. It is a nice environment to live in and the houses are phenomenal. All so pretty. We have a few neighbours dotted around us now so familar faces are always nice. Woodhaven looks lovely from what I have seen. I walk up near there when we take our dog for a walk as we check out the new developments being built with the shops etc. It is coming along nicely. You will not have a very long walk to get to the shops. Burnlea, haven't had a chance to get up to Burnlea yet. Is there a way through from Hayfield or do I need to go up to Blakeview Grove and divert through there? I'd like to have a look up there too. Have we heard any news about the tender for more land? Saw that the land was up for tender in the newspaper. I really hope they get it. I think they could do so much with this estate if they get the land. Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 18Mar 19, 2011 4:38 pm Hello all, Things progressing but have heard our land settlement might be pushed back a bit although the work continues. Its a bit hard to get up to it, there is a track along the back left of the town centre outside the fence area. The main road is closed until they put all the piping in so may be a while. Wanted to start building in May so fingers crossed for that one. . Re: Blakes Crossing - South Australia 19Mar 31, 2011 12:26 pm Hi Had a walk up in woodhaven...coming along nicely up there - can't say I would like to buy one of th block with a big gum tree in it ... that wouldn't be too much fun. But, it looks lovely. I see the roundabout is almost finished for the "woodhaven" entrance. Anything else happening? Heard anything? Any more updates?
