Although it rarely happens, just remember that they have the right to remove anything built over the easement if they need to work on the services. Blog is now up - http://www.jbdave.blogspot.com/ Re: Concrete over easement 4Jul 21, 2009 2:20 pm We had a "proposed" easement from the local water authority on our block. We were told we could concrete over it but it would be at our cost to rip it up and replace it should they need to access it. Needless to say we had the easement extinguished instead since it had never been put into use and was still only "proposed". Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Concrete over easement 5Jul 21, 2009 2:44 pm Thanks jbdave... I was thinking i would have to contact the council and/or utility authorities to find out.... Would I need a permit to concrete/ pave. What about if you just put down some crushed rock surley you wouldnt need a permit for that Cheers Cozmo ______________________________ Building a PD Heywood 29 http://fromevetoeternity.blogspot.com/ Re: Concrete over easement 6Jul 21, 2009 3:13 pm We have a easement over our block (near the back) and it has a area (1.5m each side) where we cannot build anything over it unless we encase it. Encasing it costs money (not sure how much). You would have to ecase it if you want to put concrete over it. DA approved Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. You should be able to encase the sewer but you will need it designed and approved and access to lot 580 to do the work 2 17155 You might be able to apply to divert the sewer at your expense. In NSW you would contact a Water services co-ordinator and they would give you advice as to whether or not… 1 16146 Thanks - yea sounds like I need to submit build over easement application....ugh guess I better start finding someone who can do the engineering drawings 3 3359 |
