I live in an old red brick unit block and have a very dark corner of the unit that i am looking for solutions to brighten up.
It's a dinning room/entrance located behind the kitchen and laundry with no windows. The walls are solid concrete.
In a perfect world i'd love to remove the kitchen & laundry wall and open it right up however this would cost an arm and a leg which would be over capitalizing.
An idea i have though is to cut some 'holes' into the wall to allow the light through. By hole, i mean slim modern rectangles approx 1000mm in height and 200mm in width with smoke glass panel so you can't see kitchen/laundry garbage. Could also be used as display 'holes' for vases or sculptures etc.
ANYWAY getting to the point (in such a long winded way) i need to know if this idea is expensive or even do-able. Anyone have any ideas? What kind of tradie would do this job?
Thanks in advance
