Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 21, 2007 1:18 pm Hi,
We are in the process of signing up a contract with National Homes. We liked dale alcock, but national homes plan suited well for us. Does anybody have an idea how good these ppl are? Bcos its quite expensive & we dont want to step into muddy water .. Thanks Re: How good are National Homes? 2May 21, 2007 10:49 pm Freind built with National Homes here in WA.
He is pretty happy with what he got, with the only issue being building issue resolvement after handover. (it took ages to get little things fixed) National homes are also part of the BGC group. review 3May 22, 2007 11:03 am HI Homebuilder
Only the 1 review on BB for National Homes and unfortunately the reviewer did not have a good experience with them. Sounds like some people have had a good experience though based on Perth Euro's comments. Dale Alcock appears to have a good name based on their reviews. Best of luck with it and let us know how you get on! Regards Re: How good are National Homes? 4May 22, 2007 5:53 pm Thanks guys !! Anymore experiences, please let us know. BB doen't have good rating for these though. sample 5Jun 10, 2007 3:17 pm Hi Homebuilder
As it is only 1 review you need to take on what they are saying, but you can't rely on it. It can only provide a guide and perhaps items to look out for. Hopefully after a few more reviews a better picture will emerge. eg Perth_Euro's friend appeared to have a good build with them, so you'd almost say its 50:50 at the moment! It also pays to see what problems people have in general, and how they addressed them. eg Regular site visits appear to be worthwhile. If you do go with them it will be interesting to hear how you go. Best regards Re: How good are National Homes? 6Jun 11, 2007 12:46 am I was looking at National Homes a while back, but aside from another salesman who used to work with them giving me a few things to look out for, a friend at work recently finished a home with them and was reluctant to recommend them (or any BGC owned builder...).
I think he is ok with the quality of the home, but he had the building supervisor changed on him four or five times and he could barely ever get in touch with them and they never returned his calls. He also still does not have towel rails and a few other miscellaneous items though he's been in the house for about 3 months. He's given up chasing them on it. I've just recently signed up with Dale Alcock mainly because of their reputation and another friend says his experience with them was quite good. As someone told me once, you often see established homes advertised as being built by Dale Alcock (check out realestate.com.au). Few other builders get their name mentioned when selling a home. There must be a good reason for that... 9 24637 Thank you. Do I use timber floorboards for stairs or do people use timber treads? Or is both the same? 6 7237 Hi, I have had them in the past and the pros are: Versatile, i.e many different colours and styles to choose… 1 6847 |
