It says water and elec is available but not connected (to be connected when a house is built) Gas and Sewage Not available (at all). Would people really be buying land if this is the case?? Mark Re: Anyone looking at Summerhill epping??? 2Jul 20, 2009 1:58 pm HI, Ive seen this estate, and did consider it, but what put me off was the location and the lack of planning. When are they supposedly titled? I also saw an Investa sign up on the weekend opposite cragieburn road on epping road with new land coming in their? Looks like a while off yet though. Re: Anyone looking at Summerhill epping??? 3Jul 21, 2009 8:27 pm If that estate is on or near Summerhill Rd, then it's not even in Epping. That's Wollert ...almost to Donnybrook. It's possible that gas and sewer services don't extend that far, although they probably will in future. If that's the case, the land ought to be cheaper, which would make it attractive to many buyers who are happy to use LPG and a septic tank until the services do become available. It's common in country areas, and even some outer suburbs. Whittlesea had no gas until relatively recently - that put us off buying there about 15 years ago. Or maybe titling of the land is just a long way off and the infrastructure will all be in place by the time the first settlements take place. Who's developing or selling the land? They should be able to give you more info. They were doing that last time I looked at Mernda, maybe its connected now?. Whittlesea has trucks sucking it out too from the holding tanks down near the cememetry. The main strip of Mernda (original part) was only connected to the sewerage about 2 years ago! I'm not sure if Mernda Villages is actually connected to it yet or not or if they still have trucks collecting it twice a day or not, but either way, as far as a house in MV goes it is connected 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.'
