Did you gradually introduce them to the new surroundings? It helps to keep them confined to one or two rooms at first then gradually let them explore more of the house, and after a couple of weeks then you can let them explore outside as well. It's less overwhelming for them if they get used to the new house in steps. I would move the litter back to where it was, and gradually move it to the new location in stages. With the flyscreen replace them with the aluminium mesh and try putting a scratching post nearby and see if they will use that instead. banishing them right now is the wrong way to go because as someone said their world has been turned upside down and they are feeling really stressed by all the changes.
