Browse Forums General Discussion Re: colorbond for front fence? 2Jul 09, 2009 7:38 pm All councils have differnet regulations and it also depepnds what kind of road you live on. Usually on a busy road you can have a tall solid, fence. On quiet streets you can usually have solid to a certain height, then see-through after that. Re: colorbond for front fence? 3Jul 09, 2009 9:12 pm We used to have a low height colour bond front fence on our old house - it was a corner block, had 6 ft colour bond along back and side fence and then tapered to about 3 feet for front fence. Each council will have different regulations though - some dont let you have a front fence at all Re: colorbond for front fence? 4Jul 10, 2009 10:50 am With our council if we put a front fence which is no bigger then 1.2m or 1.4m (i forget) we will not require a permit. We actually went and got pricing on the weekend for colorbond fencing. 1.2m is roughly $76 per panel and each panel is about 2m long. 1.8m is roughly $95 per panel and each panel is about 2m long. Hope this helped Re: colorbond for front fence? 5Jul 10, 2009 8:08 pm Hmmm, I am thinking now we might go brick...I just dont think colourbond will go with the house. We would like a 1.5m solid brick then slates to make it 1.8m. Our council will only allow 1m high without permit.
