Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 05, 2009 9:29 pm Hello. We're building a new house in southern Tassie, and are in the process of looking for a heat pump hot water system. We're a family of five, so need something sizable. We're coastal on the south of the island, so need something which will withstand sub zero temps on occasion. We're not that concerned with noise, as there are no bedrooms near the hot water location, and no neighbors in ear shot. Does anyone have experience, both positive and negative with the various options in cold climates? As I don't know a lot about hot water systems, by gut feeling is to stay with the large manufacturers, such as Rheem and Solahart. Ta, Matt.
