They actually had quoted me for kitchen removal/demolition but later qualified that by saying that it didn't include removal of certain parts of the kitchen Um, I'm sorry but I am not a mind reader! Removal of kitchen it said, not removal of 1/2 a kitchen! How could I have predicted and prevented that? That's what I am trying to sort out now. Yes hindsight is 20/20 agreed. Again, sorry if it came across as critical wasn't meant to be. My point is to cross the 't's and dot the 'i's of a contract. Not about being a mind reader...for example when your quote indicated removal of 'kitchen',your first kitchen should have been 'what exactly is considered to be 'the kitchen'?' Is your sink considered part of the kitchen? What about a free standing stove? What about your waste disposal system? Is your dishwasher considered part of the kitchen, what if the d/washer is in another room though?...or is everything in this 5x5m (or whatever) area of space to be removed? etc Your next question would have been 'where is is being removed to?' The next room?, outside? on the street? the front lawn? If your builder considers the pantry and benchtop as 'the kitchen' and nothing else, and removal is outside the front door, but your expectation is the entire room and every item removed from that room taken off-site, then..............
