Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 04, 2009 6:48 pm I've looked at their catalogue, and they have a great deal on curtains. Has anyone seen these in real life? Just wondering what the quality is like. We would need to drive from Sydney to Wollongong to get them, so prior information would be great. Thanks. Re: Question for those who shop at Harris Scarfe 2Jul 04, 2009 7:25 pm There used to be a Harris Scarfe at Campbelltown years ago & we brought ready mades for my son's bedroom from there & they were really good quality & lasted for years, they were still on the house when we sold it. I think that we had them in his bedroom for about 8 years. They were a blockout pinch pleat curtain we had no problems with them, but it was a long time ago. We now have a blog. http://allaboutthebuild.blogspot.com/ Re: Question for those who shop at Harris Scarfe 3Jul 04, 2009 8:35 pm I bought some for our bedroom when we renovated it 2 years ago. I think the brand is Wilson and they were good quality with great block out. Only thing was the size i got was not big enough width wise so the curtains can't be pulled across, but that was not a problem for us as we have outside electronic blinds we pull down at night. They were really good value so if you were planning on getting a few probably worth the trip. Re: Question for those who shop at Harris Scarfe 4Jul 05, 2009 1:09 pm Shame I didnt see this a few days ago, I would have checked for you! I went in to buy an engagement present and bought $250 worth of bakeware and a breadbox for myself Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Bam may I ask which bread box you bought?? I was looking at this olive green metal canon almost shaped bin which had a chopping bpoard for a lid, which was $139.95 with $100 off, but wasn't too sure, cheers Re: Question for those who shop at Harris Scarfe 6Jul 05, 2009 9:14 pm Tillie Bam may I ask which bread box you bought?? I was looking at this olive green metal canon almost shaped bin which had a chopping bpoard for a lid, which was $139.95 with $100 off, but wasn't too sure, cheers Thats the exact one I got! But in Black I have a black theme with my tupperware lids and figured I might aswell stick with it. And black goes with everything! Do you bake your own bread? I like that it is deep enough for two loaves, one on top of each other. You take the lid off (which is a chopping board), cut the bread on the lid, put the bread back in, then the lid back on top! No excuse for anyone chopping on my bench as the chopping board is attached! I havent used it yet, Im 'saving' it for the new place. But it looks as air tight as any other bread box (I just wrap the loaf in a tea towel whilst its being stored) - just funky and more useful with the chopping board! And for $100 off, I couldnt resist!!! Now.... go buy one Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! I am going first thing tomorrow and getting it, I thought that it was so different, but in a great way, if that makes sense I do have a bread machine but it's in storage, but thought it would fit a loaf, some rolls etc... Great point that the bench gets saved also!!! Glad to hear that you have bought the black one, as my mum who needs her glasses on tried to convince me that it was a "very very dark" brown and would suite my browns and off white kitchen I was hoping to add a bit of green with the colours in my kitchen $100 off is a bargain Re: Question for those who shop at Harris Scarfe 8Jul 05, 2009 10:30 pm GREAT!! I would have chosen a colour, but as Im yet to decide on the colour scheme of the house Im playing it safe with everything I buy No doubt when the house is ready Ill be eagerly waiting to go shopping and buy some things of colour Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated!
