Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 30, 2009 1:58 pm Hi All – I have been reading for a long time but this is my first post! I'm after some advice about the hot water system that is currently installed in my strata group of townhouses. – There are 4 townhouses joined in a row that make up the strata. – There is one large central Gas storage hot water system that is shared between all 4 units. The problem is that during winter (sometimes warmer months too), it is common to run out of hot water very quickly – obviously a result of everyone in the block having showers in the morning and the current system capacity is not large enough to cope.I am one of 2 owner occupiers in the block and it is very annoying having cold showers but I am hoping to do something about it at the next strata meeting. My questions are as follows: – Is it possible to convert each indvidual unit to a continuous flow gas system? (one system per unit). This would then make the central system redundant. – Will this effect the pressure of the hot water? – particularly as these are double story units with the bathroom upstairs – If this is possible, is it a very expensive job? Note that each unit does have its own individual gas line and meter for stove & heating etc. Thanks for your help! I want to build a decking to the drawn shape outlined in black.
