Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 28, 2009 7:00 pm Hi all, I would like to know if anybody can help me out, or has been in a simaler situation? When me and my wife was with our sales rep I had a list of questions I asked, some may seem silly but we are first home buyers. One question was how much driveway do we get? Our sales rep told us we get 6m. Then I asked will this go right down to the road, he measured our plan then said yes all the way to the road. Now after signing our contract and plans, when at prestart the lady said the driveway says only 1m. But on our building plans she said it has 6m. We contacted our rep and asked what has happened, he replied saying we only get 1m blah blah blah. After arguing the point saying he has * to us, nothing has happened. I would like to know is there anything we can do? Some people have said if our plans says 6m then they have to do it, is this true? Thankyou for any info guys, Steve. Re: Building plans, driveway. 2Jun 28, 2009 9:36 pm Hey Steve, welcome aboard If there is nothing specified in the plan, or only 1m is specified in the plan, you have probably done all you can by speaking to the sales rep. It all comes down to what you have them down for on paper, if its not there, you dont have much grounds for them to move on it. Re: Building plans, driveway. 3Jun 28, 2009 9:42 pm Hello and welcome Steve01 What is the set back from the front boundary? I'm a bit confused by your query. I'd assume you would get a driveway from the front boundary (at the end of your crossover) to your garage??? I wouldn't imagine if your garage is set back say 5m... why they would only concrete 1m of it? 6 11528 Really tight at the top of the stairs- how to get furniture into those rooms? Study books - does anyone really use them these days? Large storage closet would be more functional. 2 6882 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13723 |
