i am now trying to work out how much i need for knocking down and rebuilding my house in NSW. I have listed all the item i needed to be considered below, Do i missed or overlooked anything i should be awared? - Demolition and waste removal for the existing house - Price of the project house (included all the necessary certificate fees and council approval fees) - Site cost (sevice connection..etc) - cost to achieve the BASIX certificate (such as, undergound storm water tank and pump) - cost for ducted A/C - Tile and carpet which is not included in the project house package - Exterior tiling, paving and fencing - Rent for another house during the construction period - New furnitures thanks and regards, Kenzi Re: Budget on knocking down and rebuilding new house 2Jul 07, 2005 1:22 pm mmmm… tough one pick a figure, hehehe… as a basic guide I would work on about 10 to 15k for the demolition and somewhere between 900 and 1100 per square meter for the construction of a well finished home including, - Site cost (sevice connection..etc) - cost to achieve the BASIX certificate (such as, undergound storm water tank and pump) - cost for ducted A/C - Tile and carpet in the house package.
