Just have a urgent question:
What is the cost of your slab of H-D level of 23 squares?
The construction company will charge me more than 17,700.I think its too much.
Any good point for me?

That was the first construction installment after the slab was laid. Is that the question? - 17,700 is way cheaper Re: Urgent:what is the general cost of your slab? 4Jun 19, 2009 3:25 pm I just created a thread later on today, and for a 41square with a HD waffle type 3, engineerd slab we've been told WORSE CASE $5,975. I'm not sure of the differences between the 2 slab types but that's what is in our contract. Greg P.S Helyn, that's your construction installment, that's not the cost of the slab. How do you know how much just your slab cost?? (I think I should keep out of this; I really dont know what I am talking about ) Re: Urgent:what is the general cost of your slab? 8Jun 19, 2009 4:32 pm But they have different levels. The standard is M level and then H,then H-D so its reasonable to charge more than 17000 to build a H-D concrete slab? But one of friends said he only need to spend 12000 on it. So i was confused. And I have no idea on this at all,and want someone to help Re: Urgent:what is the general cost of your slab? 9Jun 19, 2009 11:29 pm Wowo.. We must be getting the bargain of the century for a 41sq house, type HD slab for $5,975? That's not extra, that's total price of the slab as quoted in our price break down. We were originally quoted $3,900 and I actually questioned the $2,000 price increase. I can't see it being the total cost for the slab because you'd have to have an allowance for some type of slab in your base price and as part of the standard inclusions. Usually an M as standard. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Urgent:what is the general cost of your slab? 12Jun 20, 2009 10:38 am joles GSK Wowo.. Cheap concrete huh Got extra mesh for a tank slab as well, Only had about 3/4 sheet of mesh, a few lengths of N12, 2 lengths of TM and a whole bag of ligatures and a few bar chairs etc left over. I think it might have been a tad over engineered (lots of IB's) but i'm happy to pay a little bit extra to have a stronger slab.
