In the kitchencorner I’ve posted already a little post about this a while ago, but I can use some advise again! In our contract, we’ve signed for a squareform benchtop with 6mm radius, Laminex Ash Dust. Problem: This colour won’t be available till at least the end of July, probably later than that, so the builder wants us to choose a new colour. There is one colour quite similar; Duropal White Myriade. Problem: This colour cannot be made with 6 mm radius, it will be 10mm. Can I ask for a compensation because it cannot be 6mm? They might say: If you want 6, you need to choose a different colour. We have paid $350 to upgrade the benchtops in the bathrooms from bullnose to be squareform 6mm as well. To match the benchtop in the kitchen… I was thinking to ask to compensate that amount of money, because it’s not matching anymore, but then they might say; it’s not matching anymore; you can change the other tops to be 10mm as well. Any advise?? Thanks!! Bip Re: Can you help me??!! 2Jun 19, 2009 7:13 am if it is my scenario , i might tell the builder to source out another person who does the same price for them and able to provide the same or better material to you. on the other hand you might be able to ask for a refund but might not get back lots of it as the builder they have their margins. 2 10947 Hey everyone Not for me or anyone I know, just generally interested.
