Dreaming about future projects for our home, I've been puzzling over how to change the current 13 steps to our front door to an internal staircase configuration, which is not as straightforward as I would like it to be.
One fantastic solution wuld be to have a home lift instead;
However, having a quick browse on Google, it seems that this would cost anywhere from $40-60K!!!
Does anyone have any info or experiences here? Are they really all that expensive?

Yeah, they really are that expensive!
My hubby builds and installs them for a living..... they don't even waste their time with home installs. Preferrs CBD..... where they can ask 100K+ per lift.... and you know how many lifts can be in the one building.... so it's a extreme cost thing!
So unless there another way around it, it will be $$$$ and i would even say 40K is being quite consertive, like a goods lift! With yucky panels inside (being not very nice to be in.... like a hospital lift as in theatre ones....)
Hope you find your solution!
