The guy who owns and operates [edited] does/did not know the council rules about where water tanks and sewerage systems must be placed and has no formal qualifications to instal these systems.
If as in our case he screws up you will be left with tanks not installed properly and be out of poket with little or nothing that can be done to recoup your losses. (We have found out since he has installed systems in the wrong place for others).
To make matters worse you have to install a system for council to pass off on so you can move in effectively doubling the cost....
Have you tried to get money back..?? it costs more to go to court than the debt itself, even if you do win there's no guarantee of getting paid anything ever......

In NSW you can go to the Department of Fair Trading's Consumer, Trader & Tenancy Tribunal. For $31 your case will be heard and a determination made. Each party shows up and presents their case without legal representation. Quick, inexpensive and effective. All you need is a good case. Cheers, Casa P.S. In answer to a couple of other questions.. yes we did do a lot of research, the system is one of the best on the market the Icon Septech information all adds up and we have no problem with the product but you have to buy thru the installer, its all great untill you try to get it installed by this clown.
