We have the thin aluminium style venetians in our bedrooms, and they are so so dusty. I've tried using dusters to get it off but it just doesn't work. Using a damp sponge works a bit but they are paper thin and just bend and make that cracking noise like tape measures do..
I'm now thinking about taking them off and taking them outside and hosing them off... Only problem is I cant actually see how they are attached to the window inset..
There appears to be brackets between the wall and the top of the venetian (where they attach to the wall) but there are no exposed screws etc to take it down?? Does anyone have any ideas how this might be done???
Unless anyone has any other suggestions on ways to get this dust off?
There are kind of a metallic silver colour and it looks hideous as some parts are shiny but the majority of it is dull and yucky looking.
Ideas please?
