Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 02, 2009 11:25 am Hey guys, Quick question. Would a 300x600 tile look better layed horizontally or vertically in a 1800x8000 metre hallway? The tile flows through the whole house but I think the entrance hallway is the best part to get right. Thanks Daniel Re: Tile laying/direction?? 2Jun 02, 2009 11:42 am IMO- the hallway seems quite long already so i would do them horizontal to make the hall look wider. But its all up to the look you want. If you want it to look longer, then lay them vertical eg north-south Horizontal will make it look wider. I am just thinking of floorboards, I know they are a different shape, but you always do them longways down the hall... I've seen a pic of them done the other way and it looks bad IMO... but I guess tiles is different "Your emotions are the slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions." — Elizabeth Gilbert Living in our new house.
