Really a pain considering I was told late last week by the workers that it would be open today. Anyone have any more info on the bridge? Re: Woolworths Laurimer opening next month!!! 102Jun 23, 2009 12:14 pm I need to go to a supermarket later today so if i go to my house I might check it out Last week I was told a few weeks still to go for the bridge 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' I'm so curious to know/see the layout...That sounds so crazy I know I just figure, it could be the shopping centre I do most of our shopping at so I hope it's well set out. I wonder if they'll have self checkouts also? Not that I'm for machines instead of people, but they are helpful when you have a loaf of bread and the 'quick' lane has 10 people lined up We have a house in Doreen. I am only saying that it's car park as our neighbour is actually the owner of the cafe/chocky shop and he informed us that it was all undergroud parking! No idea where it's entrance is either, maybe it's from the other side of the street or something because I certainly didn't see one either - happy to be shown otherwise though And yup, it's a supermarket! My DW was there today but didn't go in due to my DS screaming in the back of the car, but she took some photos from the car. Also looks like from the photo Fox FM were there.. http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3890.jpg http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff285/agardner5/IMGP3891.jpg Re: Woolworths Laurimer opening next month!!! 109Jun 23, 2009 6:51 pm Oh Andy, your concrete is dry 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' We did a quick shop there this afternoon....more just to have a look/see than anything else. I must really need to get a life because I found it so exciting! The store is lovely - bright and spacious with nice wide aisles. And they have the loveliest polished concrete floor. It was quite busy too....everyone must have had the same idea - out for a squizz. Lots of specials on too which was great. DH was pleased with the Liquor shop selling slabs of VB cans for $31. There will be an underground carpark - it is West of the Supermarket....towards the Display Village but it hasn't opened yet. $2 shop looks just about set to open and tradesmen were working on the Charcoal Chicken shop whilst we were there. On the outside strip it looks like the Optometrist and Ladie's Fashion store won't be too far away. I don't believe in excess - success is to give. I am surprised thought that they only put 3 self checkout counters in.. most renovated ones they are putting in 6... and there is heaps of room... but there is a massive amount of other checkouts..
