The unit will sit less than 300mm above the threads. I use Auspex and the supplier of that, Reece, encourage you to use 2 meters although believe I meter is the manufacturer's specification. (hard to tell from the pics, but I think that pipe in the pic, might be Auspex)I always believe its Its better to err on the side of caution, as excess heat may fatigue the pipe over many years. Although I have seen Auspex taken direct to the unit, without adverse affect, but who knows what will happen after 10 years use?
