Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 11, 2009 8:35 pm Hi, I know of potentially awkward situation whereby building work valued over 12k has been completed without contract or home warranty insurance. This issue has been raised with the OFT, but I suspect the builder in question may now attempt to 'force' the owners to purchase home warranty insurance. Anyone have any comment on where the owner stands in this situation? Are they obliged to purchase it on the owners behalf? Can it be arranged without involving the builder? Any help appreciated.
