Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 06, 2009 4:53 pm I am in the process of fitting out my new extension and would like to fit a good looking gas fire, one that is similar to this one. However, as I have built a highly insulated structure, I don't really want to put in a gas fire that draws air from the room, so I need a sealed, balanced flue fire. The trouble is, I just can't seem to find anything that looks any good. Could anyone recommend a similar looking fire (yes, I know it will be behind glass), that I could use? There must be something out there I haven't seen yet! Steve Re: Real Flame Gas Fires 2May 07, 2009 3:30 pm Steve, We are building soon and having the builder at construction stage, install a balanced flue gas fire place. Yes in Queensland too. The model is a Heat n Glo 550TRSi. Fairly large in the US. Go to jetmaster.com.au and you will find some info. I have plenty of brochures etc and have seen some in real action. The Heat n Glo's look very good. Large window size, ceramic logs look great and sizable. Glass screen is covered by a nice mesh cover for "burn to touch" safety. We are having it flued through the wall horizontally. Hoping to have the bricky build a fake brick chimney on the roof if possible. I have been in contact with Qld distributor and whilst it would have worked out a little cheaper I'm getting the builder (Plantation) to do the whole lot. This way warranty wise its all covered. The framing will be done at construction. I spend quite a bit of time at the Fireplace shop checking it all out. We are having the stainless steel surround and also a Quantum Quartz hearth underneath. pic of the actual model here... drsimmy: go here for local suppliers > http://www.jetmaster.com.au/page/showrooms.html Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Built 36sq Plantation "Retreat" on 4460m2 at Spring Mountain, Qld In Living and landscaping.. >>> ... http://retreatspring.blogspot.com Hi All It has been a few weeks since my last update.
