Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 06, 2009 4:29 pm I recently signed up for a job at our house in Brisbane with a landscaping company. They started the job in early April and spent about 1.5 weeks onsite clearing out the existing yard and gardens for the new designed yard. They haven't turned up for my job for the last 2 weeks, I've just got a call from the builder (also the licensee for the company who holds the queensland bsa license) today saying that his business partner who does all the quotation and client contact had run off with the company's money, hence he can no longer finish off my job and all the other jobs that other clients had possibly paid deposit for. I have made 50% of the contract price, and I would say the work done thus far would be close to 50%. I'm a newbie and haven't read the terms for this forum, but I'm guessing that I can't name the particular landscape company that I am talking about here. Obviously, I will now have to get some legal advice, bsa compliants filed etc.... Any tips/advise on what I should do from this point on...or anyone with any past experience with something like this. Cheers, Jon Re: Brisbane landscape builder liquidating 2May 09, 2009 10:19 am it seems very one is going bust at the momment it is hard to know who to trust.Did you have a signed contract with them is so you could contact bsa for advice or maybe a solictior. But the sad fact is you may not get any money back and if so it could take years and lots of dollars to fight. My first thing would be to contact bsa and take it from there finished building 40 square home on 5 acres with perry homes.working on the landscaping just finished pool deck with ://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=2217 Landscape Design Parramatta We have been doing a large amount of landscape design work in Sydney… 0 3 Need advice on the backyard plan above.
