I live in an aprtment with two mezzanine bedrooms. I want to change one of these so that it can be closed off to give the occupant privacy when needed, but be able to open the room to the beautiful morning sun that comes through.
Currently there is a balcony style wall about 1m high that i want to close off with some type of sliding or folding door or wall. as we have a sloping roof, there is only about another 1.5m to the ceiling.
Would love to hear some ideas

Sounds like a great apartment.... I love mezzanine bedrooms (and will have one in my new house when it's built).
A friend of mine had a warehouse conversion in Collingwood with a mezzanine bedroom, but wanted a bit of privacy from his housemates. He installed integrated white plantation shutters between the plaster balustrading and the ceiling. They looked fantastic!
These particular plantation shutters were the ones usually used on glass sliding doors - meaning they slid open allowing most of the space to be completely open when required. When he wanted privacy, he'd slide the plantation shutters across and adjust the blades (open, partially open, or completely closed).
Another idea may be using glass louvres (Queensland-style). Clear glass if no-one downstairs can see in. Or if you want more privacy, go for translucent glass.

Yeah it is a great place to live,
Thanks for the idea Paul, I am after something that will also cut down sound...
There is a place in Seaford that makes these doors that i might go and have a look at.
