I thought it would be good to get an idea of how long houses are taking to build around the country. If you have built or are building let us know! Remember to say the state and whether double or single storey! Regards Re: Average build times by state 4Apr 10, 2007 11:25 am Construction started in August 2006 and we are about 6-8 weeks away now.
First council approval (planning) took ~5 months the second lot (development approval) took around 6 weeks. Purchased our land in December 2004 Adelaide, SA. Queensland 5Apr 10, 2007 5:19 pm Double storey in Brisbane.
plans with private certifier - 8 weeks construction started in June'06 and finished with the handover 16th November'06 one storey house normally takes ca. 3 months. However, the builder has always 100days to complete the dwelling plus all the rainy days, plus weekends etc... cheers kate Hi Minho I have heaps of experience in Ku-ring-gai with both DAs and CDC ( this is the main area we build in). DA's are taking 12-18months and CDC's we have been doing… 1 3148 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17518 thank you! do we need to get this or our builder before we commence new build on the block? 2 10404 |
