I know it can be a fire risk with downlights which I've already addressed but I was wondering if this stuff can be a risk to one's health at all? Thanks. Re: Blow in Insulation... Dangerous??? 2Apr 18, 2009 6:41 pm I have never heard any reports of that, but I guess it depends what the materials is. I think it's usually cellulose based which is natural. Fibreglass was given a red light a couple of years ago because the air born fibres can be carcinogenic. The recycled newspaper based one is actually a fire retardent. Re: Blow in Insulation... Dangerous??? 4Apr 18, 2009 7:06 pm I used to have the recycled newspaper type and I can tell you it burnt very easily. I also spent in total about 20 hours bagging it all up in the roof by hand which was one of the best jobs I've ever had to do (I'm being facetious) 2 1/2 years later and I still find bits of it here and there. Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed.
