This is not really budget, but may be of interest to you or others reading this thread. They take your photo's and put them onto canvas, framed or unframed. http://www.bigprints.com.au/bigprints_homepage.asp Tony Re: Art 4Apr 04, 2007 9:51 pm ![]() Does anyone know of any places that sell canvas paintings at bargain prices? Hi Sally, If you live in Melbourne take a trip down to Cranbourne and on the South Gippsland Highway (heading toward Cranbourne) just before you get to Thompsons Road there is a Mobil Service station on your left hand side. There is an Artist there every Saturday and Sunday selling his wares.... He has about 60 - 70 paintings there every week. They are quite good and reasonably priced too. Matt Re: Art 8May 12, 2008 8:59 pm Matt, Do you know if this guy is still there? What style are his paintings? Re: Art 9May 13, 2008 12:09 am mud,

Paula Re: Art 11May 13, 2008 9:20 am Yeah they look great - love the nudes. I assume you just need to get them framed or stapled onto canvas?? Re: Art 12May 13, 2008 2:58 pm The Rasterbator is awesome for this -- it takes your digital images and zooms them into huge dot-based prints. Really great for taking one of your own images and turning it into large wall-sized art. We're actually thinking of taking pics of the pets and turning it into a huge mural for the entrance hall/passage. Re: Art 15May 27, 2008 1:58 pm There is a big art expo at the exhibition centre at the moment. I think it has another weekend left to run soon. Google for the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and look for the upcoming events. Re: Art 17Jun 09, 2008 12:24 am Muddy,
I forgot about this thread! The paintings arrived afew days later and they were everything I expected but bigger! The canvasses were well painted and packaged really well too. I would definatley recommend this seller. Re: Art 19Jun 15, 2008 11:58 am How about making your own?
I am looking at getting a huge canvas and covering it is some gorgeous wallpaper to make a headboard of sorts for my bedroom. I am not very artistic, that is why i am using wallpaper. There are some stunning papers out there. Not sure if it would end up cheap though Re: Art 20Jun 15, 2008 12:05 pm ![]() Muddy, I forgot about this thread!
