Thanks Daniel Re: Frogs Sofas - Melbourne 2Apr 17, 2009 12:52 am Don't know anything about frogs sofas, but if it's a custom sofa you are looking for, we had one made by a company called Euro Sofa Direct in Moorabbin, and couldn't recommend them highly enough!! http://www.eurosofadirect.com.au/ They made us a 6 seater double wide couch for under $2k and we love it After 2 false starts, a year living overseas, two more world trips and 3 years of uncertainty we are now starting the build process again - hopefully for real this time! I went yesterday to a store that a friend recommended and actually made a purchase. I was really impressed with their range, prices and flexibility. I bought something very very similar to a couch I had liked elsewhere and had been given a best price of $4500, got mine for $2400 and it was in a higher quality fabric. http://www.metrofurniture.com.au/ Website does not do the store/styles justice. They are located at the Windsor end of Chapel St. Daniel edit: also very fast manufacture/delivery 4 weeks only, made in Melbourne Re: Frogs Sofas - Melbourne 6Apr 19, 2009 10:52 am the Frog's sofas outlet in Footscray has just closed down. Re: Frogs Sofas - Melbourne 7May 17, 2009 7:13 am I visited the footscray store too, and a notice indicated that their lease had expired . There was a telephone number for their Bentleigh , Eltham and Dandenong store. The wife and I visted the Bentleigh store and purchased an 8 seat modular for $4000 in a warwick halo fabric. I was very impressed with the service and quality of product. They had far too many options which complicated things a bit. They also have some strange opening times. They have a software program called the "room planner" on there web site and it was very helpful in designing the size we wanted. Every furniture store I went to could not meet our spec, but they were able to. Happy to recommend them . Just have to watch out for the commission based sales people Actually that goes for most furniture shops http://www.nickscali.com.au/flash.html We got the Igloo (sorry cant post link as its a flash site) and cheaper than what it is advertised on the web site. We just ordered a 4 seater and a 2.5 seater today. Total cost in Linen material was $2,500 (retail was $2900 through them). All Aussie made and they can customize to suit any of your needs at no extra cost. I'll reply back here in 10 weeks when the sofas are complete.
