Standard laminate looks plain and standard, I haven’t come across a good-looking laminate. The Vacuum-form is slightly more appealing, as they have more character/texture than standard laminate but this also comes at a higher price then laminate and you are still paying for crapping PVC. Solid wood that is hand painted is just stunning, however durability is a problem as I am sure it will chip and heaven to bid if you spill red wine or something and it drips onto the cabinets. I love the unique look hand painted has, but how long will it stay looking good. Was wanting advice from people who have hand painted kitchens? Are they high maintenance and do they stay beautiful after 10-15 years of use? For Vacuum-form what is the average price as standard laminate is around 10k? Can anyone recommend a kitchen company (Sydney) that has a wide range of vacuum-form style cabinets and are reasonable? To me a kitchen is all about the cabinets and I have gotten 4 quotes already and all the cabins I have look at are not my style besides the hand painted ones (which I love) I couldn't attached the photo for some reason.
