I have been reading for a while, thank you for this wonderful forum I have been thinking about renovating my house for a while, now am at a self-design stage. There's one thing that has been bugging which I haven't been able to find ideas for - as titled. Ok, i am looking at doing a rear extention. In order to save cost, I am thinking of doing a simple flat roof very similar to a design concep I saw elsewhere (attached) instead of removing the back side of the pitched tile roof on the current house, then extending it all the way back to cover the extension. However my simple question is: How does the water drainage work? I am very worried that this sort of design will cause water leakage problems. OR, would you have a better design idea? Thank you!
