Hi all, at present i'm o/bing a larger house on a rural location. the building is in 2 parts : our wing (2 senior aged adults) bathrm & kitchen & Guest wing 2 bedrm, bath & laundry. i've installed an 18 panel grid interphase solar voltaic system.
the guest wing HWS is 50 ltr instant boost electric hooked to scheme water (unlimited h/w for city grandkids). In our section i'm installing a solar hws, with electric boost & coupled to tile fire copper heat exchanger with rainwater supply.
the question i have is what size solar system should i have single panel 151 ltr or 2 panel 302 ltr.
we have a 25yr old 2 panel 302 ltr solar with same set up at present house, its slowly lost effectiveness over the years & was never really correctly oriented to north.
the solar supplier i'm dealing with says that solar systems r far more efficient now days, & recons the 151ltr would be more suitable as there is less storage to keep hot for only 2 people, making both elect booster & tilefire exchabger more effective.
can anyone tell me about experiences with 151 litre solar HWS or any 150 HWS systems for 2 adults??
thnaxs & cheers tony
