Building with PD - Regent 23 Cascades on Clyde Estate HomeOne Building Thread - PCI Completed - 28th August. Handover - 11th September. Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 23Apr 09, 2009 8:45 am We had to pay $750 for the upgrade to a sectional garage door, but the timber-look colorbond doors were part of the standard colours. $900 for a 'colour upgrade' does seem a little excessive, are you sure they aren't actually using timber? Like most builders, some things are excessive, but you may get a good deal with something else in your contract, need to look at the bigger picture in some instances ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 24Apr 09, 2009 8:59 am YOu are right ICK, I am still to find out what we are going to be charged but from what I have seen so far..........If I bank on $1000 then any change is a bonus......other things in the house seemed relatively low cost so I am happy as long as it balances out. VJ, I can't believe thats your house(back in construction mode ) Its amazing what gets put out to the www when we don't realise. Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 25Apr 11, 2009 8:51 am from memory ours would have been a $500 dollar upgrade but in the end I was too nervous about not liking the pretend wood colour so we went a boring cream colour. Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 26Apr 11, 2009 10:05 am Very happy the rep has just told us our upgrade is $350....given some of the storeys, I had planned on a worst case scenario of $1000 and any change would have been welcomed. But yay much more change in our pocket. A win for the PK house Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 27Apr 11, 2009 10:47 am great news pk so which one are you considering? Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 28Apr 11, 2009 12:20 pm Gotta love that PK!! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 29Apr 11, 2009 7:01 pm Yes KK and ICK very happy with that outcome, I can now upgrade the taps Davden you are right that does seem excessive our door is also the same width so that doesn't seem to have to much bearing on the price, but like you have said the simple other cost savings maybe offsetting this anyway..........all good in the long run if you get the look your after. Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 30Apr 19, 2009 6:55 pm Our upgrade to timberlook was well over $1000 !!!! I had my heart set on this and a matching timber door also, Well that pretty much got blown right out of the water Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 31May 21, 2010 7:36 pm I have been quoted $1972 for an upgrade on a double door and a single door. Hows that for a bit over the top. Im thinking about seeing how much they will credit me for the 2 doors and installing them after the build is done. We're builing with PD and are also considering the caoba colour. Would also love some pics if anyone has any. I want our front door (which is timber) to be the same colour. But have been told we need to choose a timber stain to try to match it in the solver range. I'm not finding anything that close yet. Can anyone help. Getting confused!! Fuzzy.....great facade you have, so I am assuming that you are saying your door is the classic cedar from colorbond. Thanks gweluphome. Yeah, it's the classic cedar from colorbond. Hi Fuzzy, Thanks for the pic, exactly what i needed, we are also considering the classic cedar from colorbond too. I'm looking for a charcoal colour and am loving this one... Thanks It's Beaver Creek from their other posts. A slightly darker charcoal colour is solver Shiralee, i used that on my place and love it! Re: Colorbond Cedar garage doors photos required please. 40Apr 14, 2014 6:47 pm Hi, Yes it is Beaver Creek .. I think it was a Solver colour If you have a look back on some of my old posts I know I listed the render colours and you will also see a better picture of the house with it. It was a great contrast colour and we have been very happy with our choice of colours. I’m restoring all my 40yr old windows and I want to install seals around the casements. I’ve sanded back and oiled the frames with sikkens.
