Doing this though means you will lose a little bit of light, so you will have to weigh up what is more important to you - natural light or peace and quiet If you'd like to go with the green idea, that is a vine on the wall, I would plant each vine in the centre of each section of the wall and leave the brick pier exposed. Hang something decorative in the centre of each section and let the vine grow around it. Seeing that it’s just pebbles on the ground you could plant the vines into the ground, rather than into pots which will keep the costs down, and should be easier to maintain. Another option would be to increase the hight of the wall by covering it on your side with timber slats, and extedning them up past the brick work.
