My wife and I have been looking at the block for possible purchase and later the building of our new home.
However, a geotech survey of the block as identified it as being rated 'S' and 'P'.
Looking at Peter's excellent site at http://www.ausdesign.com.au/articles/article42.html
that means...
Class S - Sites with slight ground movement.
Class P - Sites which include soft soils, landslips, collapsing soils and the like.
This does not sound good to me. Should I be turned off this site by now, or does it come down to the degree of 'P' the site has?
