Re: Porter Davis vs Places Homes 3Mar 24, 2009 11:04 pm Places and PD are both part of the Barret Group. I believe that Places are in between the PD Access range and PD Lifestyle range of homes. That said a 'Porter Davis' home probably has better resale value than a 'Places' branded home, a cursory glance of the realestate pages of a newpaper shows you the advertising value of having a PD home. Re: Porter Davis vs Places Homes 4Mar 25, 2009 8:29 am Yes, I never would have thought that it would have any impact on the advertising, but one of DH's clients recently sold his PD built home , and apparently the agent was adament that they mention it in the advertising. Ended up with a good result, too, so perhaps there is some merit in it!!! Their floorplans are really, really good. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. Terrence Malick Re: Porter Davis vs Places Homes 8Mar 25, 2009 7:50 pm joles Who knows? Yeap gets us to spend even more money with them!!! Re: Porter Davis vs Places Homes 9Mar 27, 2009 1:10 pm I would say places is more between lifestyle and prestige they have introduced a new range which is more access style but all the homes come with 2500 ceiling , granite bench tops and quite a few upgrades to what ud get in lifestyle range and all the upgrades plus they sit in the 28 - 34 sqm range Total Breeze Air Conditioning and Electrical - Based in Melbourne http://www.totalbreeze.com.au Re: Porter Davis vs Places Homes 10Mar 29, 2009 4:40 pm I would rather build with PD than Places - though they are both owned by one company, PD has more history, popularity, range and inclusions. Its worth going with PD - I dont understand why Places.. but maybe they will build quicker as less jobs to do? Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!!
