My construction DA is approved subject to an Acoustic Assesment being submitted to the PCA prior to works commencing demonstrating how the proposed development with comply with the requirements of "Developments near rail corridors and busy roads" My builder has already hit me up to organise this and pay for the assessment. Who should be orgaising this? Who should be paying for this? I have know idea where to start with this. Any Ideas? anyone? Re: Acoustic Assesment questions 2Mar 23, 2009 7:43 pm Hi there We are building on a block which backs onto a railway line although fortunately there is a huge embankment between us and the trains. Nonetheless, as a condition of consent we had to get an acoustic report done. we also needed to get an electrolysis risk report due to the trains' electrical current.
