Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 17, 2009 7:48 am Hi I need to choose colours for the bathroom, kitchen and floor tiles. I don’t really know where to start choosing colours but I want colours that don’t make the floor look dirty.
It is a Dennis family home and i am in Melbourne, vic Does anyone have any suggestions? Re: Choosing tiles for bathroom, kitchen and floor tiles 2Mar 17, 2009 8:12 am A good idea jrambo is to look at few display homes and check out specifically on your visit the tiles in those homes and see what you like. Consider that these homes generally have 100's of poeplw walking all over them without any care for them and see how they are holding up. If its an older display you will really be able to tell. Otherwise go to a tile shop pick out a few that you like and ask for samples take them home and just keep them in view for a few days you will soon get to kno what you do or don't like and the professionals at the tile shop will be able to direct you, visit at least 3.
Good luck this is the fun bit. Re: Choosing tiles for bathroom, kitchen and floor tiles 3Mar 17, 2009 8:41 am I always get sample tiles and place them just inside the back door. DS and dog traffic over them all day soon tells me how dirty they'll look. Then I can also see how easily (or not) they clean up. Also by placing them there, I see the colour in all different light conditions, full sun, shade, lights on, light off.
It's amazing how quickly the right tile presents itself. I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. We also swapped some rooms around and tackled a major… 2 10030 Possibly both depending on the sizing. Idea of working from the centre is that you dont have a 20mm thin tile at one end and a 400mm at the other end. A quick search on… 3 8408 This is a very tight fit, I'm not sure if you'll be able to achieve what you've described. Would you consider accessing the separate toilet from the laundry? If so maybe… 1 11251 |
