Colour selection centre 21Mar 24, 2009 4:22 pm Had handover today, Spectra is actually in the office opposite the real office, it looks AWESOMEE, from what I could see.. All I could see was some pendants, a nice entryway and a big stone kitchen. Built the Atlantique 37 Mk2 with Carlisle Homes - WE'RE IN!! Colour selection centre 22Mar 28, 2009 11:13 am You had handover?! Thats great! So when do you move it? Or does handover mean that you can move in straight away? You should update your thread, and put more photos up. We want to see your colour selections! I think I might ask them at our tender appointment if we can go into the showroom to have a quick squizz Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... Colour selection centre 23Mar 28, 2009 1:10 pm Yep I had handover!!! Handover as in they hand over possession of the house and keys. But we'll move in soon, when the flooring is done (not by builder). Hopefully they'll let you in to have a look - perhaps you could say you need to check another laminate colour or something.. pretend you are going to change colours, but I wouldnt actually change it, it will incur an admin fee. Juts pretend you want to chnage to another colour and you need to have a look. I'll update the thread soon and photos hopefully this month. Colour selection centre 25Feb 22, 2010 12:32 pm how come everyone on this thread is blatantly advertising carlisle homes? Is this really newsworthy and independent of carlise? as i am new to this site should i assume that administrators are totally independent to carlisle or not? Being new to this site and the reason for joining is to research the best home builders. the first thread i came across appears to me to be promotion. If so may be a good idea to at least try to be independent in association? Defamation is one thing, corporate endorsement is another. sorry Carlisle you may well be a very good home builder and i may have read too much moderators into your support? cheers Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... Colour selection centre 26Feb 22, 2010 1:34 pm I cant speak for others, but I definitely DONT work for Carlisle Homes or get any gains from saying nice things about them. We are building with them atm and all i can say is that they have been excellent the whole way !!! I've heard alot of horror stories about building but i was one of the lucky ones that didnt have any major issues! Also, they were very accommodating, once our land settled, they started work pretty much the day after, and its only been 4 months and we are already having our handover next week. So yes i'm very happy with Carlisle, and no they didnt pay me to write this Idiots are fun, that's why there is one in every village! - Dr. House - Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... It just so happens that the problems were fixed to Matt's satisfaction and he is happy to say nice things about them now because of how they dealt with everything. No one on here works for Carlisle. You will find many people across all threads saying both nice and bad things about their builder. That is the point of this forum... To find out about people's experiences, whether they be good or bad! In saying that, I am also having a good experience with Carlisle. Am just about to start bricking and the only problems that we have noticed so far were picked up by the supervisor and fixed before we even mentioned them!
