Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 02, 2009 8:36 pm Apparently John from Carlisle Homes took offence to my comments about his colour selection room and duly proceeded to inform me about the massive amount of money he had just spent on his selection centre.
Since I was last there Carlisle Homes have made a massive commitment to their colour / style selection area and now they have almost the entire space upstairs dedicated to making the decisions much easier. Of course my comments were based on my own experience. This is what was written to me in the email from John: ---- SPECTRA Spectra is the new state of art design selection centre from Carlisle Homes. It provides the opportunity to show clients the latest trends and finishes in the new home market. The selection centre displays our standard range as well as optional upgrades available to give our clients greater choice. The showroom is by appointment only to ensure that all clients receive attention to complete the finishes to their homes. ---- Now I haven't seen this personally but based on the amount spent creating this and the description I was given it sounds like a place worthy of a visit. I wonder if they might let me in to take some spy pics??? Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... Colour selection centre 2Mar 02, 2009 8:39 pm haha... i'll go in undercover for you!!

Colour selection centre 10Mar 04, 2009 10:49 pm I went for a tender appointment today and realised that the showroom was finished. S&P, you wont be able to walk through the room if you're going into the office. When you walk up the stairs, the office is on your left, and the showroom is on your right. Maybe I should book to have a tour, as I havent finalised my tender yet! Good excuse to check it all out. I looked through the doors and it lookes like they do have kitchen range. I saw a few different types of benchtops with island cookers and veggie spray, looks pretty impressive. Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... We thought ours was alright. She was nice and all, but didnt really help us with the selections, didnt really give us any advice. She just waited patiently for our choices! Then we went for our tender appointment today and found out that half of our upgrades which we did at colours were misquoted. Some items by more than $1k!!! I dont think she knows the product too well. Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... Colour selection centre 13Mar 04, 2009 10:53 pm Same!

We had a girl called Emma who was awesome. She went off to have a baby not long after we met her... Same here too! Our CLE went on maternity leave too.. The colour consultants cant actually conclude on any pricing, it should say that on the colour booklet. At tender you will find all prices, colour consultants only just giving an idea of price. Colour selection centre 15Mar 04, 2009 11:39 pm ^Yea, but she gave us all wrong prices. And the funny thing was that before she told us these prices, she actually consulted her pricing booklet!
It was just frustrating as we wanted to know roughly what the price was so we can decide whether to set our hearts on getting it. Re: Carlisle Homes - Spectra ... Colour selection centre 18Mar 05, 2009 1:35 pm Hi,
One good thing with Carlisle was that they let us choose items they didn't have on display. We didn't want the mixer taps for our basins. They gave us the details of their supplier and we chose taps that come out of the wall with 2 handles - one for hot and one for cold. We also chose a wider diameter spout for the spa so it will fill up more quickly. Can't comment on the new Spectra as we were there under the old small layout. Dale. Colour selection centre 19Mar 23, 2009 10:30 pm Had our colour browse at Spectra on the weekend. The showroom was awesome IMO (I haven't seen any others!) They had some kitchens on display. A large range of bricks, roof tile, floor tiles, wall tiles, carpets, and everything else you can think of on display. It was all set out easily, and was nice to look at (easy on the eye!!) The colour girls (M and J) were also awesome. Was having a hard time trying to figure out carpet and bathroom colours, but they came to the rescue!!
