Have you a local paper that might be interested in pursuing this ? I think it's a decent local story: bus company installs own bus stops on the street without council approval. Surely the council has some traffic manager or road safety advisors. What do they think of a company just placing bus stops wherever they like ? Exactly what is the legal position with companies deciding to erect stuff on council nature strips ? Doesn't sound right to me at all. I'd be very actively pursing this before your bus stop becomes a permanent fixture by default. The longer it stays the more likely it is to become permanent. Do the hard jobs first.
