Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 27, 2009 4:03 pm It seems there is a problem with draining in my dish-washer. As a result it does not work. I can choose a washing program and start it, but it does not start washing. Instead it looks like the maschine attempts to drain the water from the dishwasher and cannot do it. As a result approximately in 5 minutes the dishwasher starts showing a flashing indicator light as described below.
According to dishwasher's instruction book, if there is a continous flashing of the indicator light of the running programme and in the digital display appears .20 it means that the dishwasher will not drain. The instruction book says that two causes are possible. One is that the sink spigot is blocked. Another is that the water drain hose has not been correctly laid or it is bent or squashed. I checked the sink spigot and it seems it is ok. Checked the water drain hose connection and again it seems to be ok. And the problem persists... Just in case here is additional information: we use the dishwasher for 1.5 years. We only cleaned the filters several times. May be some other maintanance works must have been performed... I would appreciate any advice very much. Thank you. Re: Have a trouble: dish-washer will not drain. 2Feb 27, 2009 4:26 pm Remove the drain filter and find where the outlet is. Push your fingers in and you'll feel a crossbar type of thing. Behind this is a fine wire mesh. Using an old toothbrush, brush this wire gauze as best you can.
Behind the wire gauze is a switch that activates your pump and if the gauze is obstructed by grease and food particles the switch can't be activated and the pump wont pump out . I hope this works, Re: Have a trouble: dish-washer will not drain. 3Feb 27, 2009 4:26 pm maybe get a bucket and yet the hose drain into that to see if hose pump sides ok and check that the bit of pipe the hose gos onto is not blocked Yeah mine about 9 metres long and 8 wide with slope of 25% at one point but the end point of the outlet is past the side of garage and if he concretes allowing for… 4 4534 Agreed. I just found out today the certifier has not given the final sign off. 2 4088 Grab a hose, insert it at the top of the inlet/down pipe and turn the water on and see where the water is escaping from. Then you'll know. 3 8465 |
