Might have to go down and see the guy this morning. CiNny, I was going to join contours, went down and had a look, the reason I ddin't was the fact that you are not doing your own thing. I am used to the gyms, where you decide what your doing and no-one takes any notice of what you. More freedom. I was rapt when I saw the guy there yesterday. I thought about it but i'm the same the whole idea of not doing my own thing didn't appeal. Especially now because I dislocated my shoulder just over a week ago and will need to do certain weights to rehabilitate it and I need a personalised plan to look at what I need ie stregthening core muscles! DP and I are going to join I think. The flexibility of ours suits us as i'm a shift worker and DP is never home till about 630-7 every night and most gyms it would be a rush, oh and I like the fact we can walk there! 2nd build here we come in Whittlesea! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=92617 1st Build - Henley - Cooper in Doreen! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3227Apr 11, 2011 9:23 am I love (I cant emphasis it enough) my gym - unfortunately it's in a rather inconvenient location, I'm praying they decide to open their next victorian gym somewhere towards the north as I just can't find another gym I like as much. I need classes to stay interested and motivated and it's nice to be able to do Hula Hoops one day and Reformer Pilates the next Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! What you need is way outside the scope of the average personal trainer or gym instructor. I wouldn't do a training plan for a client with an injury like yours without some very specific advice from an expert, for fear of making things worse. I don't know any local ones to recommend (mine's in Brisbane), but BackFocus Physiotherapy in Epping, Mill Park and Diamond Creek list Exercise Phys as one of their services. Some private health funds pay rebates too. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! I used to see a physio there, but an EP is a whole other thing. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3234Apr 12, 2011 2:40 pm kek Is she an exercise physiologist or physiotherapist, deb? I used to see a physio there, but an EP is a whole other thing. She's a physiotherapist, she was great for pain relief and also told me what excercises I could do at the gym. More or less guided me, in what I could do and what I couldn't. I don't think they have a physiolgist there. It sounds very interesting, they would be expensive wouldn't they? my back has been flaring up alot lately, sitting in the car in the traffic aggravates it. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3235Apr 12, 2011 3:08 pm Nah, not that expensive and there are some private health rebates anyway. They bridge the gap between a physio and a personal trainer - a lot work as personal trainers or sports coaches as well. Mine is brilliant at assessing problems and prescribing programs to sort them out. Wish I could work one-on-one with her. Re: Ladies and Gents, step right up! Mernda & Doreen Residen 3236Apr 14, 2011 8:52 am I noticed today they have the traffic light poles up at plenty/hazel glen intersection.. All that seems to be left now is to install the actual lights on the poles and paint the lines.. Oh and still no lollipop men at the schotters rd and bridge inn intersection. I've made a complaint to vicroads who basically said it is councils responsibility and have passed on my feedback to the contractor. At least being school holidays the intersection is pretty quick to get through now even with no lollipop men. Fingers crossed the intersection opens after easter sometime soon. Although there is still some roadworks to be done around the edges and where the new and old road meets etc. it also looks like they need to still do the final top layer - it's getting closer!!!
