Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 24, 2009 7:56 pm Hi all,
The garage doors on our old house need replacing. It is a single car park with two doors that open in (similar to some barns). The roof line is very low, so putting in a roller door or similar is not an option. I was thinking of using roofing iron or colorbond as the door material (currently there is something similar, but made out of a thicker heavier metal.) I was going to use some structural pine to make the frame. The frame will probably be a rectangle with a piece diagaonal for added strength. Can anyone comment on this type of frame? Also, what sort of hinge would people suggest to use... The current hinges are old and struggle with the weight of the current door. Regards Alf... Hi everyone!
