well good news is our house is due to be complete on 15th march..yay! only 20days away! We will be having our 1st final inspection soon and were just wondering if anyone can help out with some kind of list for things to look out for when we walk through... as we have no idea! Thanks heaps - Building Urbanedge Larne 002 Re: 1st Final Inspection 2Feb 23, 2009 12:00 pm Remember to take pen and pad and a camera and to write and take pictures of everything.
Things to look for... - Paints are all the right colours and finishes - any changes you wanted are there - No paint on wrong things (eg, drips in carpet) - no cracking/gaps on all items (Eg, cornice is loose) - All power points, etc. are in correct location - no damage to goods (EG, no chips in stone benches) Does your builder use an independent inspector? If so they should do a decent job on the structual stuff, but say they use the wrong shade of paint they probably wouldnt pick that up.
