We are doing up a rental property that has been basically gutted, except for stand alone stove and bath tub. It the kitchen after ripping out old flooring, there is alot of animal poo. Not sure if it roach, mice or both. There has been no signs of any living creature in the house. Should we be looking at getting it pest control done? or don't worry? Best to do before painting and flooring ect or doesn't matter when. Re: pest control. Is it needed? 2Feb 19, 2009 11:47 am I wouldn't worry about it personally, the poo might've been there for ages and the animals might have long gone...
I personally would wait to see if you get problems with actual creatures before forking out for that. Can't comment on whether it's better to do it while the house is gutted though, might be worth taking into consideration. We had ours done yesterday; it was a pretty simple process and our house is fully built Looking forward to no more ants! IF you have to get it done afterwards, you need to re-wash dishes, move stuff out of the way, etc. But doing it beforehand means it will take them less time and cause less work for you. You could even just go buy surface spray from woolies and spray that around the corners, will cost very little (~$5 a can or something?) and put up a barrier. Re: pest control. Hi group, have some damage to the door frame and skirting board. It's a side door to the laundry area. Only has a security door.
