Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 17, 2009 2:36 pm Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone will be able to answer my question.
I live in an older style block of flats in Melbourne, 1960's, and the balustrading is at a height of 900mm from the balconies. From what I'm told the latest regulations state that balustrading needs to be at a height of 1000mm. Do we need to have the balustrading replaced to meet the new regulations? Or as this is an old building, can we leave it with it's original ones? Thanks. I would even go so far as to say since it is the 1960s it would have heritage overlay laws over it, the best people to ask is the council.
